A draw pile is created from the remaining cards after players are dealt a predetermined number of cards at the start of each round, typically seven or ten. Each player takes turns selecting a card from the discard or draw pile, after which they discard one card from their hand. The round is over when one player successfully melds all of their cards into sets and runs that are valid.
