Poker Player Vows to a slots rummyKiss the Dealer for the Right River Card
Share on Twitter Share on Facebook 2 min readWho says that begging a dealer to give you the card you need to win a hand doesn't work? "Mike X" made an odd plea on Hustler Casino LiveThursday night during an $80,000 pot, promising to kiss the dealer if a four-outer on the river came through. And it did, and he held true to his word.
The pot in question took place on the final hand of a six-hour livestream in a $100/$200 no-limit hold'em cash game, a memorable way to end the show.
Wild Poker Hand
Mike X, a regular on HCL, in a straddled pot, raised to $3,800 from the cutoff with A♦Q♥. Britney, another well-known player on the show, three-bet to $13,000 from the button with a stronger hand — A♠K♠. The original raiser, covered by his opponent, then moved all in for $39,400 and received a snap-call.
Both players agreed to run the board twice, with the first runout showing 3♥4♠A♥2♠5♦, giving each player a shared straight to chop at least half the $80,500 pot. The second flop came out 9♥7♣K♣, leaving the smaller stack who was about even on the session in a world of hurt. But he'd pick up a small amount of equity with the J♦on the turn, and this is where the hand went a little crazy.

"I kiss you if a 10 comes, I swear to god. I get up and I kiss you," Mike X told legendary HCL dealer "Magic" before the 10♣appeared on the river to complete the straight.
Begging for a specific card worked for Mike X, who wasn't just bluffing when he vowed to kiss the dealer for a 10. He ran around the table to give Magic a big smooth.
Mike X would finish the session up $20,400, essentially the amount of half the pot he won on the final hand. Britney, however, took a $172,900 loss during the game. Her session would have been a bit less brutal had she dodged the bad beat.
