Play moves around the table in a clockwise manner, starting with the player to the left of the dealer. A player must draw a card during their turn from either the draw or discard piles, & they must also discard a card from their hand onto the discard pile. Forming runs and sets of cards in your hand and then laying them down on the table to score points is the object of the game.
