A well-liked variant is referred to as Progressive Rummy, in which participants advance to the next round only after completing particular combinations in each round. To give an example, players might have to form two sets and one run in the first round & three sets and two runs in the second.
  • After the top card is turned face up to begin the discard pile, the remaining cards are arranged face down in the center of the table to form the draw pile. Players may choose to take the top card from the discard pile or draw a card from the draw pile during their turn. They have to discard one card from their hand onto the discard pile after drawing a card.
