If you haven't entered a Grizzly Games VIII series event on Global Poker, you still have time. But before we get into the rest of the series, we're going to look back at some recent winner who deserve recognition.
The series, which applies to Gold Coin (GC) and Sweeps Coin (SC) players, began Jan. 27 and runs until Feb. 16 and is part of the 2024-2025 Global Poker Championship (GPC) season.
Players entering the series have a shot at numerous prizes, including GC, SC, and Global Poker merchandise.
Big Gold Coin Winners
The Gold Coin series is heating up with some massive winners, including "RollsRoyo" who took down the GC 11,000 No-Limit Hold'em tournament, which had a GC 2,500,000 guarantee. The champion, who beat out beat out 229 entrants, claimed the top prize of GC 464,219. "KennyMac23" finished runner-up for GC 327,447.
"Crazy8s8080" took third place for GC 248,830 and "Chula" finished in fourth place for GC 173,360, while "VITO2020" rounded out the top five and claimed GC 131,520. The tournament took place Feb. 4 on Global Poker.
Some additional recent winners were as follows: "1 Emoney 1" collecting GC 585,590 in a 340-player no-limit hold'em tournament, "Spookclown" receiving GC 1,420,493 in a GC 8,000,000 guaranteed event, and "Lewdogstar2234" was the biggest winner of them all, taking down the GC 99,000 tournament for GC 3,781,996, beating out 204 entrants in the GC 20,000,000 guaranteed no-limit hold'em contest.

Big Sweeps Coin Winners
The tournaments have been just as big over on the Sweeps Coin side. "Macdiddy1212" is one of the many champs over the past few days. This player conquered a SC 11 tournament and the 678 other players for a SC 1,185.67 prize. "Grushing999" also came out victorious in a separate event — SC 33 with SC 20,000 guaranteed for SC 2,961.66, outlasting a field of 645 entries.
And then there's "FLBoater75," another big winner, having taken down the SC 99 Bounty 6-Max tournament and its 308 players for SC 5,785.76 on Feb. 4, plus SC 171 in bounties. That large field event had SC 33,000 guaranteed. "RealPrez" was the runner-up and claimed SC 4,172.41 from the main prize pool and another SC 54 in bounties.
"CuzItsDelicious" had a delicious prize of SC 3,178.81 plus SC 90 in bounties for third place, while "Undaunted Tenacity" was the fourth place finisher for SC 2,253.85 (SC 126 bounties), and "GizmoYo" busted in fifth place and received SC 1,668.73 (SC 90 in bounties).
The series will continue through Feb. 16 when the SC 200,000 Main Event starts on Global Poker.
