Jones Denies Dam Back-to-Back PLO Main Event Glory
There was a familiar face leading the final seven in the $10,300 WCOOP PLO Main Event, with last year's winner Martin "Imbajimbaa" Dam (pictured)looking to lock up back-to-back titles.
However, in the end it was Gruffudd "d.apollo777" Jones who took down the title and was crowned World Champion of Pot-Limit Omaha. He secured a heads-up deal with Dam that saw the defending champion take more money. But Jones came out on top in the end and secured victory.

- The choice of whether to discard or hold onto cards is one of the most important ones in rummy. Although discarding a card might seem simple, it involves carefully weighing your hand as well as the possible hands of your opponents. Novice players frequently make the error of discarding cards that could help other players. You risk giving your opponent an advantage that could cost you the game, for example, if you discard a card that completes their set or sequence. On the other hand, understanding when to hold onto particular cards is just as crucial. If a card has the potential to finish a sequence or set later on, it might occasionally be prudent to keep it even if it does not fit into your melds at the moment. 25-01-31
- The goal is to combine these cards into legitimate combinations in order to lay down all of the cards first. Two to six players can play the game, and the rules can change slightly depending on the version being played (e.g., Indian Rummy, Gin Rummy, or Kalooki). A draw pile is created from the remaining cards after each player is dealt a predetermined number of cards. 25-01-31
- To succeed in Rummy, you must develop your decision-making abilities. In order to decide which cards to keep, which to discard, and which to pick up from the draw or discard pile, players must be able to swiftly assess their hand. Being able to plan ahead several moves and predict what your opponents will do is a crucial part of developing your decision-making abilities in rummy. Making decisions with the best chance of success requires careful consideration of all potential outcomes. This helps you make more informed decisions. 25-01-31
