Being the first player to form sets and runs and discard every card in the deck is the aim of the game. A run is made up of three or more consecutive cards of the same suit, whereas a set is made up of three or four cards of the same rank. The dealer deals out a predetermined number of cards to each player at the start of the game after shuffling the deck. The draw pile is formed by the remaining cards arranged face down in the middle of the table, & the discard pile is started by the top card that is positioned face up next to it.
