The action on PokerStars is heating up and we're only midway through the first week of the World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP).
More titles were handed out on the third day of competition, including Lex Veldhuis winning his first WCOOP title in Event #9-H: $5,200 NLHE. That result hasn't quite seen his team move to the top of the WCOOP League standings, but it's all to play for as drafted players start to get on the scoreboard.
WCOOP League Standings (September 11)
It's all change at the top of the WCOOP League standings after the third day of competition, with Team easywithaces moving up to slightly lead from Team peace&loove.
- Team easywithaces - 790 points
- Team peace&loove - 765 points
- Team Aakkari - 750 points
- Team tonkaaaa - 625 points
- Team L. Veldhuis - 570 points
- Team Spraggy - 150 points
Overnight leader Team Aakkari fell back, but remains right in contention after Yuri "theNERDguy" Dzivielevski continued to show why he was captain Andre Akkari's first pick of the draft.
Dzivielevski cashed in Event #14-H: $1,050 5-Card PLO8 and finished fourth in Event #16-H: $530 Badugi, picking up vital points. He remains in contention for another WCOOP title tonight, having made the final table of Event #17-H: $10,300 Super Tuesday.
Meanwhile, new leader Team easywithaces was helped by captain Fintan Hand's final table performance in Event 18-H: $530 NLHE, cashing for over $7,500 and finishing in fifth place, while Renan "Internett93o" Bruschi also had a strong showing.
After not being selected in the SCOOP League, Bruschi is already the second-highest points-scoring draftee this year (325 points), trailing only Dzivielevski (425 points).
The overall leader in terms of points is undrafted Blaz "Scarmak3r" Zerjav, who won his second WCOOP title on Sunday night.

Jerry "Perrymejsen" Odeen Takes Down WCOOP 13-H: $320 NLHE [8-Max]
Jerry "Perrymejsen" Odeen was always going to be a factor in this year's WCOOP League. With 14 COOP titles coming into WCOOP — including three won during SCOOP this year — he finished sixth on the SCOOP Overall Leaderboard and was the second pick by Parker "tonkaaaa" Talbot for his WCOOP League team.
Odeen has now won his seventh WCOOP title after winning WCOOP 13-H: $320 NLHE [8-Max] for $28,165.
He defeated a final table that include Alexandre "Cavalito" Mantovani, Juanki "B4NKR0LL3R" Vecino and fellow Swede — and fellow member of Team tonkaaaa — Niklas "Lena900" Astedt.
Although the result isn't enough to put Team tonkaaaa into the podium positions, it's a strong sign that the Swedes are going to be a force to contend with.

- At the start of the game, each player is dealt 13 cards from a standard 52-card deck. Making sets and sequences with the 13 cards at your disposal is the aim of Eastern Rummy. A sequence is made up of three or more consecutive cards of the same suit, whereas a set is made up of three or four cards of the same rank but different suits. Until one player successfully creates sets and sequences using all of their cards, or until the stockpile runs out, the game goes on. 25-01-31

- Rummy is not an exception to how the introduction of technology has fundamentally changed how we play games. The popularity of smartphones and mobile apps has given traditional card games a new lease on life online. Because they enable players to enjoy their favorite game at any time and from any location, rummy apps have become a popular substitute for in-person gameplay. In addition to making rummy more approachable, this change has brought in cutting-edge elements that improve the gameplay. From the comfort of their homes, players can now take part in tournaments, play live games with real dealers, and compete against people from all over the world. 25-01-31
- The emphasis on strategic decision-making and rapid gameplay of Rummy 777 51 Bonus are its defining features. This version is usually played with a standard 52-card deck and two or more players. The main objective is to minimize the point value of one's hand while producing legitimate sets & runs of cards. The inclusion of the 777 51 Bonus adds a second goal, requiring players to try to form the bonus-triggering combination. With the bonus feature, players compete to finish their hands and get the bonus before their rivals, which gives the game a sense of urgency. 25-01-31
- Instead of being a single game, rummy has many variations to suit a variety of tastes and preferences. In South Asia, Indian Rummy is one of the most well-liked variations of this game. Typically involving two decks of cards, Indian Rummy is distinguished by its distinct rules and gameplay mechanics. Players must use both jokers & wild cards to form valid sets & sequences. 25-01-31
- This technological revolution has guaranteed rummy's continued relevance in an increasingly digital world while also preserving its essence. Also, depending on their tastes and skill levels, players can select from a range of game modes offered by online platforms, such as casual matches or competitive tournaments. Everyone will be able to find a game environment that suits their availability & mood thanks to this flexibility. Another significant advantage of playing rummy online is accessibility. 25-01-31
- The number of cards dealt, the number of cards needed to form a set or run, and the method of winning are all governed by the rules specific to each variation. Comprehending the various Rummy variants can offer players a more profound comprehension of the game and facilitate the development of more sophisticated tactics. For instance, the goal of the two-player version of Rummy called Gin Rummy is to form sets and runs as soon as you can. Indian Rummy, on the other hand, is usually played by two to six players and requires the formation of sets and runs in addition to obtaining a predetermined point total before declaring Rummy. 25-01-31
- Even though it could be alluring to save valuable cards for possible melds in the future, doing so could result in a large amount of deadwood if your opponent is able to form their sets first. Sometimes it's better to let go of high-value cards if doing so lowers your total deadwood count; finding a balance between taking risks and exercising caution is crucial. Regular practice, whether with friends or on internet resources, can also help you hone your abilities and create your own special tactics over time. With technology developing at an unprecedented rate, rummy apps appear to have a bright future ahead of them. 25-01-31
