  • Three of a kind (111), which awards 30 points to the player, and a string of three consecutive cards (51), which awards 20 points, are two examples of these bonus combinations. In addition to the points obtained for each card in the sets & runs the player lays down, these bonus points are also awarded. A player would receive a total of 71 points for laying down a set of three sevens (21 points) and a series of three consecutive cards (51 points), for instance.
  • In order to make valid sets and runs, players take turns drawing from and discarding their hand of cards. When a player goes out, or discards all of their cards, the round comes to an end. After then, the scores are totaled & bonus points are added. Usually, there are several rounds to the game, & the winner is the player with the highest score overall. This version of rummy gives the traditional format more strategic depth, which appeals to fans of card games.
